Before you start
Ensure you can sign in to the Merlin Cloud dashboard.
Know whether your link will point to a Campaign or a URL.
Have the target Location ready.
Step 1: Open the Links page
From the left menu, select Touchpoints › Kiosks › Links.
You will see a table of existing links with columns for ID, Destination, Location, Clicks, and Actions.
Step 2: Create a new link
Click the green + button in the top right, then choose Create Link.
Fill in the form:
Name: A friendly title, for example “Entrance Poster” or “Shelf Link”.
Destination Type: Select Campaign or URL.
Campaign: choose one of your existing campaigns.
URL: paste the full address you want visitors to open.
Location: pick the site where this QR will be deployed.
Select Create Link to save.
Step 3: Get the QR code
After the link is created, it appears in the Links list. Use the QR icon in the Actions column to open the QR modal.
You can Print SVG or Download SVG for high‑quality printing.
Anyone can scan the code with a device connected to the internet and it will open the selected campaign or URL.
Step 4: View scan analytics
Next to the QR icon is an arrow icon. Click it to open the link details and scan reports.
See the link thumbnail, location, code, author, and URL.
Scan Reports show each scan with ID, date/time, IP address, city, and country. This helps you understand engagement.
Manage existing links
Copy URL: Use the copy icon in the Actions column to copy the destination.
Update: Open the link, adjust Name, Destination, or Location as needed.
Archive or delete: Remove links that are no longer in use to keep the list tidy.
Tips
Use short, descriptive names so teammates can find links quickly.
Print the SVG version for the best results on posters and signage.
Deploy different links per location to compare engagement.

Does a link have to use a campaign
No. You can point a link directly to any URL your company wants to show.
Will scans work from any device
Yes. Any device with a camera and internet connection can scan and open the destination.
Where do I see total clicks
The Clicks column in the Links list shows the number of scans. The link details page includes a scan log for deeper insight.
