Before you start

  • Ensure you can sign in to the Merlin Cloud dashboard.

  • Know whether your link will point to a Campaign or a URL.

  • Have the target Location ready.

Step 1: Open the Links page

  1. From the left menu, select Touchpoints › Kiosks › Links.

  2. You will see a table of existing links with columns for ID, Destination, Location, Clicks, and Actions.

Step 2: Create a new link

  1. Click the green + button in the top right, then choose Create Link.

  2. Fill in the form:

    • Name: A friendly title, for example “Entrance Poster” or “Shelf Link”.

    • Destination Type: Select Campaign or URL.

      • Campaign: choose one of your existing campaigns.

      • URL: paste the full address you want visitors to open.

    • Location: pick the site where this QR will be deployed.

  3. Select Create Link to save.

Step 3: Get the QR code

After the link is created, it appears in the Links list. Use the QR icon in the Actions column to open the QR modal.

  • You can Print SVG or Download SVG for high‑quality printing.

  • Anyone can scan the code with a device connected to the internet and it will open the selected campaign or URL.

Step 4: View scan analytics

Next to the QR icon is an arrow icon. Click it to open the link details and scan reports.

  • See the link thumbnail, location, code, author, and URL.

  • Scan Reports show each scan with ID, date/time, IP address, city, and country. This helps you understand engagement.

Manage existing links

  • Copy URL: Use the copy icon in the Actions column to copy the destination.

  • Update: Open the link, adjust Name, Destination, or Location as needed.

  • Archive or delete: Remove links that are no longer in use to keep the list tidy.

Tips

  • Use short, descriptive names so teammates can find links quickly.

  • Print the SVG version for the best results on posters and signage.

  • Deploy different links per location to compare engagement.
