Overview

A mobile deployment lets customers scan a QR code in-store and launch an interactive campaign directly on their own device. Unlike physical kiosks, mobile deployments don’t require any hardware setup. They’re perfect for posters, product shelves, event signage, or any experience where personal device interaction is preferred.

Each mobile deployment is tied to a specific store location and campaign, with all analytics tracked separately per QR code.

Before you begin

Make sure you’ve already created the following:

  • A location - where this QR code will be displayed

  • A campaign - the interactive experience this mobile link should launch

Step-by-step: Creating a mobile deployment

  1. Go to the Kiosks page
Navigate to Touchpoints > Kiosks in the sidebar. Mobile and kiosk deployments are managed in the same section.

  2. Click ā€˜Create kiosk’
A panel will slide out from the right-hand side.

  3. Tick the ā€˜Mobile’ checkbox
This indicates that the deployment is mobile-only (no device provisioning required).

  4. Select a location
Choose the store where this QR code will be displayed. Mobile deployments are locked to their assigned location to ensure accurate analytics.

  5. Select a campaign
Pick the campaign you want the mobile deployment to launch.

  6. Click ā€˜Generate QR code’
A unique QR code will be generated and shown immediately on-screen.

How mobile deployments work

Once the QR code is generated:

  • Print and display it in-store (e.g. near a product, on a shelf, on a poster)

  • When scanned, the campaign opens instantly on the user’s personal device

  • No app download or sign-in is required

  • All interaction data is automatically tracked in the dashboard under that location and deployment

Key notes

  • Mobile deployments are location-locked

    • Each QR code is tied to one store

    • Scans and interactions are reported against that store only

  • Each QR code is tied to one campaign

    • If you want to promote a new experience, create a new mobile deployment with a fresh QR code

  • If a mobile deployment is deleted, its QR code becomes invalid

    • Users scanning it will no longer be able to access the campaign

What happens after setup?

  • You’ll see the mobile deployment listed under the Kiosks page

  • You can test it by scanning the QR code on your own phone

  • All analytics (views, clicks, scrolls, conversions) will start populating in your dashboard immediately
